Where Our Story Began❤
My love for Shih Tzus began with Mickey, my first Shih Tzu, who came into my life in 2007. He was gentle, loving, and wonderful with children, and he showed me just how special this breed truly is. After losing him, what stayed with me most was the love and companionship he gave so freely. Bitterroot Tzu was born from that experience and from a desire to share that same joy with other families.
What you can expect from us
At Bitterroot Tzu, our puppies are raised in our home and surrounded by everyday life, children, and other animals. We prioritize sound temperament, thoughtful pairings, early socialization, and careful attention to health and structure. Our goal is to raise deeply loved, well-adjusted companions and place them in homes where they will truly thrive.

At Bitterroot Tzu, we raise a carefully selected variety of companion puppies, including CKC and AKC registered Shih Tzus and Pomeranians, as well as thoughtfully bred Shih Tzu mixes, Pomeranian mixes, and Chihuahua mixes. Our puppies are raised right in our home and surrounded by everyday life, children, and other animals. We focus on early socialization, sound temperament, thoughtful pairings, and careful attention to health and structure. Our goal is to raise deeply loved, well-adjusted companions and place them in homes where they will truly thrive.
